Hi. High ESR generally means inflammation, but it isn't specific. It could be anywhere in the body. I had high ESR (still have, but not AS high). It was over 100 because of Crohns disease. They usually want to give steroids at that level, or at the least anti-inflammatory drugs. How are you feeling now? Perhaps you need to have a few questions answered, maybe some more tests done, then you can direct your learning to what you need to know. I found out a lot more about ESR by searching around (mainly internet). One thing I learnt was that it can be higher if you are anaemic, it affects the reading apparently. Someone also told me that dehydration makes the reading higher, but I don't know how true this is.
