Re: Dr. Morales - Appt. Please Advise!

Coming from a #1 dentist whimp, I had 9 Amalgams removed during thanksgiving last year and my root canal and cavitations done over christmas all by Dr Morales (well actually Edgar did most the work I think, I was too out of it to care hahah). I was a nervous wreck, shaking, almost in tears, all from fear. I opted for the IV sedation since they had to IV the vit C anyway. Was great, felt like less than an hour and were in there 4.5 hrs. Didn't even notice when the shots were given.

Just make sure you have enough time to come next day (I had to leave while still numb) so they can adjust your bite correctly, my bite was off when the numb wore off. And make sure they can floss between all teeth, I still have a couple that floss gets stuck and shreads, I need to check if appt available to check my healing and fix those close teeth next week.

When I went back Christmas I was even worse at the thought of having root canal pulled and cavitations checked as wasn't going to go through added expense of IV sedation. But just with regular shots I was fine and relaxed (*see note below), even when my rootcanal was stubborn coming out, and Im a #1 whimp! No pain at all during any of it(except the slight pinch from shots). Then after done, was slight ache is all, and did great on only one advil at a time for two days. Good excuse to drink smoothies and milkshakes too!

I had all sorts of horrible possible outcomes going thru my mind before going in, but none came true or even close. Dr Morales office is really good, they might of been thinking I was a whacko for being so worked up, but they were patient and caring the whole time.

*ps. If you pray, start now, I relaxed as soon as I did (in the chair second time...kind of late, but helped tremedously!) Im trying to learn to pray first then dont have to go thru as much anxiety.

<<>> Needed to add, every one of my 9 fillings done in TJ now have decay. I take care of my teeth, but some how they are now bad. The 3 composite fillings I had prior are still good, and no decay. I was told by two different dentists that all need to be replaced. Possibly the holes were not disinfected prior to refilling. When I saw the video of my teeth (the pencil camera they use to see your own teeth) I was disgusted. Other than that I am still doing great physically, no fatigue, no joint aches, no stomach upset.
