Chlamydia Question

I have just gotten test results back stating that i have Chlamydia. I am in a monogomous relationship with my current girlfriend. She says she hasnt done anything and neither have i. My brother and his girlfriend a month ago had gotten Chlamydia from intercourse. They had sex in our hot tub at home and most likely got their mucous membranes and other fluids in the water. Is there a possibility that i could have been infected with the bacteria if it got into my Urethrea while in the hot tub later on that night after they had sex in it? I cant think of any other possible way for me to have gotten it. I didnt know how long it can survive outside of the human host. Any help is greatly appreciated. Tweet
