Re: it works, but it's not the whole answer.
Dysbiosis. Now there's a term I don't hear enough of, especially since it's a much more accurate picture of what is actually going on. Candida...just a symptom of a larger animal. You can keep beating away at the isolated symptom or you can snip away at the root and affect a deeper seated solution. Several tentacles exist to make this a problem. In short...toxicity, which leads to parasitic/fungal overload which leads to malnutrition, which leads to all diseases ending in the familiar "itis' suffix (meaning inflammation somewhere).
What's the answer? Reverse the toxicity and break the vicious cycle that is dysbosis. In short...cleansing(colon cleansing including
colonics and liver flushing) and proper nutrition, which supplies an abundance of healing nutrients and creates an alkaline cellular environment free of toxins. This cellular environment is not condusive to pathogenic stagnancy.
The Body Ecology Diet, as mentioned by Dean is turning out to be a power house dietary protocol for dysbiosis and all other disease for that matter(because when you understand the nature of illness, the same root cause of toxicity exists in most cases).
On this diet you will find an abundance of the kefir you mentioned. If made properly, the culture is devoid of all lactose (sugar) so is good to eat and supplies you with a large amount of lactic bacteria.
