Re: Teeth with fillings vs. natural teeth
Thanks so much Caitlin, that is very encouraging. How do you know for sure that your teeth are healing? Not that I don't believe you I just am really curious about all this as it is new to me. Are you going to go back to the dentist and see what they say about your progress? That would be interesting. Right now I am in a dilemma. I have a back molar that has an old composite filling that needs replacing. In fact, it's been about a year now. I thought I had it replaced but the dentist I went to was a quack. I just found out it wasn't replaced. I have decay in that tooth and it bothers me. I can feel it in my jaw. I need to have it fixed soon. I don't want it to end up worse and then they want to do a
root canal or pull it. What do you think I should do? I guess I should go get the filling and decay drilled out and then should I leave it open? I am so scared to do that! I guess if I do then I can see if that's what I want to do with my other teeth. Is it hard to keep the teeth clean? How often do you clean them? I do have a Sonicare but I stopped using it because it was too rough on my gums. They wear away easily. Actually since I've been taking Co-Q10 my gums and teeth have been SO much better. So maybe I will give it a try again. I do floss everynight. I don't have a waterpik or polisher. Thanks for those websites, I will check them out. The thing I am worried about with hydrogen peroxide is that is causes
Amalgams to corrode and leech. I guess I could put a few drops on that specific tooth. Would that work ok? If teeth really do heal this is the way I want to go! I don't want to put some harmful substance in my mouth. Thanks for all your help!
Nicole
p.s. It's funny you said "pop." I am from Michigan and that's what we call it too. It's funny how some people don't know what you're talking about when you call it that.
