Re: Teeth with fillings vs. natural teeth

Nicole, you might take at a look at this site http://mizar5.com/mbmf.htm#Order?hop=sporter108.mizar5 I bought Dr. Nara's ebooks as the books are out of print. Very interesting reading! I highly recommend it myself. I had only been to the dentist once for an extraction, then went and had my teeth cleaned for the first time. Took two trips and the hygenist said I was going to lose my teeth from the severe gum disease if I didn't do something and I had a mouth full of cavities. I'm only 21, and this was pretty startling news. We hardly ate Sugar growing up, almost never had a pop, but I had had quite a bit of kidney trouble the last few years--made a lot of acid I suppose that ate at my teeth.
I poured over Dr. Nara's book Dental Self-Suffiency. I bought ribbon floss, Sonic toothbrush, a waterpik, and a polisher. I only use water or coconut oil for toothpaste, put either food grade hydrogen peroxide or Schultz's Tooth and Gum formula in my waterpik. My gums are now 95% better. I have one spot less than the size of a penny that is still a bit red but is diminishing all the time. My gums used to be deep, dark red--especially on the bottom. I try to floss, brush, and rinse my teeth, gums, and mouth each night before bed so the plaque does not build all night long. Every two weeks or thereabout I use the polisher. The cavities that I can see on the front of the bottom molars are starting to heal around the edges bit by bit. I still have pain on the top beside each of my wisdom teeth, but I am hoping that will diminish as time goes on. The only one I wonder if it is beyond natural repair is my left top wisdom tooth. Part of the bottom has fell off, and there is a huge, deep hole I can feel with my tongue. Enough has fell of that it no longer interferes with my bite, so I am going to leave it there and see...as long as I am taking care of my teeth it should not be able to degrade and decay any further so I can only hope it might be able to repair--though it may take far longer than any other of my teeth. We shall see. No harm in hoping? :) Oh, you might look at this also http://www.therabreath.com/art_hydrofloss.asp before you buy a waterpik, someday I would like to get this to replace mine. It ionizes the water. Very exciting! This guy has an altogether pretty neat site too. Hope you find the best for your teeth! :) Caitlin Lorraine
