Malignant fibrous histocytoma

I wonder if there is anybody out there who got any success with this disease. My dad was diagnosed a year ago with MFH of bone. Went thru two surgeries, ending up with above knee amputation. Went thru chemo, it seems like he was in good spirit up until chemo treatment ended, two months ago doctors found two new lumps in his stump (in soft tissue) and sent us to look for alternative treatment saying additional surgeries and traditional treatments will make him weaker. We started him on Cat's claw, Essiac mostly; friuts vegetables, avoidance of meats, beet juice. He pretends he doesn't believe in it, so it is rather hard to deal with him. I am just wondering if there are some suggested treatments for this kind of rare disease.
