Re: Candida strategies
JV, sorry, yes I agree I'm probably not helping! Think I need to read up a bit more on basic biochemistry lol! Anyway my comments were lazy and not well thought out, so thanks for pointing that out! Its just shows you what ecstasy does to the brain...that's my excuse anyway ;)
Having said that, I understood that ACV switched the ph from acid to alkaline, bit like lemon (acid fruit but leaves an alkaline ash). Perhaps I understood that wrong.
I DO know that the acid/alkaline changes from mouth to anus!! Yes stomach needs to be highly acidic to digest protein and lower down is alkaline....I have assumed wrongly that the large intestine is mostly alkaline (I may have been getting mixed up with well oxygenated environment).
I didn't say your diet WAS acidic, rather it was a question, albeit a poorly phrased one. I meant this in the sense that candida/parasites, whatever baddies are in your gut are there for a reason...the environment...usually because they have something to live on...ie undigested food. Thus if you have undigested food in your gut, you're acid/alkaline balance is a bit skewiff, eg not enough acid in the stomach, not enough friendlies further down.
I don't think enemas are causing your candida, I wondered if you weren't replacing the friendlies afterwards. (though maybe you don't need to). I think probably like me, your immune system has not been able to regulate it for some reason, (with glandular fever).
Sorry for not helping.
Take care :)
