No HCl betaine is hydrochloric acid which besically increases stomach acid. This helps with digestion (if you have low stomach acid, which many people do).

But digestive enzymes are something different. They help to chemically break down foods for absorption. The body's own supply of digestive enzymes are made in the pancreas. Supplementing with digestive enzymes alleviates the pancreas's workload.

So both will help digestion, but they are different things.
