Frequent Salt water rinse is good as well as CS.

Something you could try, it worked for me. My dentist did this after my surgery to soothe the area.

Take a tea bag, remove the tag, dunk the bag in warm water to wet it.
Fold bag, wrap the string around it to make a tube shape.
Place this between your cheek and the infected area.

A few months later I had an infection in another area. Being miserable, I used the tea bag idea and added salt to it. Changed the bag every couple of hours, rinsed with salt water and drank a lot of water.
By the time I saw the dentist two days later, I was pain free and no swelling.

I haven't tried it, but I wonder if Bentonite in the tea bag would work also.
