Re: My Morning Of Enlightenment
Great post Hopinso. Thanks for sharing all that and much of what you said rings true to me as well. Lately my husband and I have been noticing the same thing about obesity, especially at Wal-mart! It really is a sad epidemic. My little brother of only 12 years is overweight. My mother tries to help him and teach him to eat better and make wiser choices but he gets mad and feels like he's being attacked when someone mentions or suggests something to him. But at the same time he feels bad about himself and is very insecure. They were just visitng here for a week and I noticed that he eats way too much
Sugar in the form of drinks, ice cream, candy, etc. And the really bad thing is that him and my stepdad who is also overweight (he has struggled all his life) eat those stupid low carb foods that are just a bunch of chemical bunk touted as being healthy! They also drink diet sodas with
Aspartame which actually makes you FAT and DEPRESSED! I printed out an article on
Aspartame and gave it to my mom. My stepdad's attitude was, "well, I have to die from something." He didn't want to know what the article said, but hopefully he'll read it or my mom will put the bug in his ear. I'm coming to realize that you can't help people who don't want it. Anyway, how did I start talking about all this!? Thanks again for sharing Hopinso.
