While I'd very much like to hear Johnny Vegas's response, along with ones from anybody else, I'll chime in my thoughts. My understanding is that there is a pretty narrow range of circumstances where probiotics make sense. When candida is already in serious remission, probiotics give the gut some new types of beneficial flora, some of which might be well-suited for it and will propagate in this environment.

I think a lot of people use probiotics to knock down candida from the beginning, and I don't know if they are really intended for that.
