Its unusual (but not impossible) for Epsom Salts on their own to result in stones being released. Did you have any pressure in your liver/gall-bladder area? If so was it releaved? That would be one sign that they were stones.

The way to tell if they are stones is that stones float (unless they are the rare calcified type) and are roughly pea-sized. Normal stools sink.

Do did you see any pea-sized floating things?
