Flax seed oil cannot stand up to cooking, so you have to use it raw. I often use it in my homemade salad dressings (store-bought dressings are the WORST kind of fat/oil) and sometimes add it to hot cereal after it's cooked in place of butter.

Be sure to buy refrigerated oil in a black, opaque bottle as it goes rancid very fast. Get rid of it after 2 weeks if you haven't eaten it all.
