I totally agree. People that don't benefit from Diflucan (in my opinion) are either not sticking with a STRICT diet (and some websites advocate eating all kinds of stuff that I strongly disagree with so be careful which diet you choose) or they don't have candida. that said, everyone is different and i could be wrong.
my next assumption here could be wrong as well for the same reasons, but i would think if you want to know if you have candida, do this:
1. grab a big clove of FRESH garlic (or 2 med or 3 small or whatever)
2. smash it with a knife, remove the skin, and chop it finely (minced)
3. get all the garlic in a spoon and take it with water like a pill
you should get a pretty good headache from this (die-off), although this could vary from person to person i guess and maybe this doesn't tell you if you have candida, but it certainly was a big indicator for me and the less headache i got from garlic treatments, the better i felt.
