Re: precautions for Diflucan?

Thanks for all the responses, everyone! I have decided not to order anything online; it's way too expensive, and it's true that I am self-diagnosing. But I still firmly believe that I have candida, even without vaginal or oral infections. I have numerous symptoms (mainly intestinal), and I've had plenty of vaginal yeast and fungal skin/nail infections in the past. I'm going to talk to my gastroenterologist one more time and see what he says. If he will not prescibe something, then I'll do a rotation of natural antifungals and strict diet. I would just rather take something that my insurance will actually cover, lol!

Out of curiosity: why would candida come back worse after using antifungals? Does it build up a resistance to the drug or something? Also, if I don't take the Diflucan, what is the best natural antifungal to use? Thanks!
