I drank maybe a quarter cup total split up over the day, then last evening my throat started feeling sore and I felt tired and like I was coming down with something. This morning my throat is definitely sore.
Does that sound like a Herx reaction? It's been so long since I've tried to purposely detox that I don't remember much about it. Guess I better start researching. The funny thing is I don't think I have Candida so what else does kefir do? I thought it would be a good source of probiotics.
I get it from a farm that sells primarily to raw foodists and people using a Weston A Price type diet. I don't know how it's made but I totally trust them as far as quality. It's probably from grains as it doesn't have a real smooth texture. It's kind of like cottage cheese run through a blender for a minute but it's fizzy and sour.
Wonder if I should take some today or wait until I'm feeling better. If such a wee amount can cause me to get sick it must be some powerful stuff.
