The PCR (PCR-Candidiasis) method is likely the most accurate-in the case of trying to find Candidiasis, and several other conditions, for that matter. This method continues to be the only valid means for detecting rabies, and that says something. Unfortunately, PCR testing has yet to penetrate medicine as it should have.

One might also want to consider the merits of skin testing, which is something only a Dermatologist is qualified to do, I believe. If you had a competant doc who's allegiances were with the patient, rather than the insurance company, he/she would order a stool sample, a skin test, and check for AB's. A really, really good one would perform the first two tests, than substitute the AB blood test for the PCR method.

The "Saliva Self Diagnosis" method is irrational, laughable even. Bacteria sinks, too, and a person is far more likely to have a bacterial presence in the mouth than Candidia.

Unfortunately, regardless of the test method used, the odds are against you in the matter of detecting for Candidiasis. It is an extremely difficult condition to find, regardless of the test method being used. Years ago, a study was done involving various doctors by which xrays were given to them, taken from a patient with a confirmed case of Candidiasis. Less than 25% of the doctors believed that there was any chance that a fungal infection may be present.
