Re: Could this be true?
Hi,
The best advice I can give you is a strict diet for at least 2 months. It doesn't sound like it is too advanced so you shouldn't have to do the diet forever although a healthier diet will help ensure you keep it at bay. It is hard to start off with but it is worth it to feel better and you soon get use to it!
To clear my bloating I started on the diet and cut out ALL
Sugar of ALL types, including all fruit, all dairy with the exception of organic live yoghurt, all carbs, including potoatoes and all grains etc. I just ate vegetables and protein for 2 months and then I was able to gradually add small amonuts of some things back in. I still never touch wheat, refined products or any
Sugar though. One thing that helped me get through at the beginning was sweetening lemon juice in water with Stevia (a sweet herb you can buy on the internet that is okay for Candida).
You will feel worse to start off with defintely - I felt awful for the first week or so as all symptoms came back worse, then a lot of symptoms started to subside, except the emotional problems which got very bad for for the first couple of months and now they come and go. I think this now depends on the time of the month!
A strong multi vitamin would also be a good idea as well as some sort of immune and liver support to help you deal with the detoxification and effects of any antifungals that you take, such as milk thistle and echinacea or alternatives. Also drink lots of pure water, at least 2 litres a day to help flush everything out.
Hope this helps a little bit and good luck! :)
