here are some ideas i've been throwing around my head.
first off, i went to see a doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine (he apparently is one of the best in Taipei) today. He felt my pulse for several minutes, looked at my tongue, asked me several questions about my stool, urine, sleep, symptoms and concluded quite readily that the problem was in my liver. The reason for this weakness he did not speculate. The way i got intorduced to this doc was through a friend at work. I started to explain my symptoms to her, like having some abdominal pain in Thailand. I then mentioned the candida problem, and she immediately reccomended this guy. She had also taken
Antibiotics , lost weight, felt anxious, had little sleep etc. Finally went to see this guy- and he immediately told her to stop eating sugar, and to take his prescribed herbs. She said after a year of suffering and deterorating health, she was back to full health in about a month, and sleeping better after a few days. Accordingly, the doc also recognized a liver weakness in her.
My theory for me... is that Candida is a symtom of a weak liver. (i've had about 2 billion liver tests- and i defy you to find a doc in a hospital who wont give me a clean bill of health). Anyway, this guy- and my accupunturist, and two other Chinese docs all independantly identify my liver as the source of the problem.... Hmm. So he gave me a weeks supply of herbs... Will start them today. He also said keep going with the no
Sugar diet.
Has anyone else explored the Traditional Chinese Medicine route? I can't remember who it was, but someone commented on TCM's lack of experience dealing with
Antibiotics , and they're ill effects, since they have only really been around for the past 50 years or so. Anyway, i'd love to hear some discussion on this matter. Hope everyone is well.
Take care Dave
