Re: **Survey** What does everyone eat on a typical day?
This question interests me also. I have been lurking here the past month since my diagnosis, and I find that I am very limited as to what foods I can tolerate. I found out about candida by researching my symptoms onnline (severe hypoglycemia causing months of sleeplessness), then I had a naturopath confirm it with bloodwork. I take the routine anti-fungals and probiotics.
I found some foods that seem to work well with me, and so I hae been sticking with them. I end up eating the same foods every day, even though a 4 day rotation is recommended. I don't have enough foods to rotate. I also find I have to eat frequently for my hypoglycemia, let alone my extreme hunger. My weight has stabilized somewhat around 123 lbs, a whole 10 lbs less than what I was.
What I eat is probably weird but here it is:
6-7 am: A bowl with 1/2 chopped up organic gala apple, handful of blueberries, handful of walnuts, handful of pumpkin seeds, and a chopped up hard boiled egg, eaten together as though it were dry cereal.
9-10 am (at my desk at work): 2 slices of a red bell pepper and 2 slices of grilled chicken or roasted turkey
11 am: a cup of organic lentil soup
12-1: a big salad with the 2nd egg in it, veggies, more chicken or turkey in it.
3pm: 2 more slices of bell pepper, with 2 more slices of grilled chicken or turkey
4:30: another cup of lentil soup
6pm: a bowl of beans with some sliced turkey in it, some walnuts
8pm: the other half of the apple from breakfast
Lots of water, all day. Nothing else to drink
Does this sound crazy? Anyway, it seems to be working. I go for my first follow-up on Tues.
Cheers,
Lynne
