Re: Chlorella, chelation, heavy metals - HAIR ANALYSIS
Hi JV,
>I don't react to sulphur foods at all. In fact I love sulphur foods and probably eat much more than anyone else.
OK, that's good because they're obviously great things to eat but just be aware of it. Presumably you have fatigue and brain fog? If they fluctuate try and see if there is a connection betwen what you eat and the symptoms. Also Cutler advises to avoid sulphur food if you have high plasma cysteine, but if you're absolutely sure they don't aggravate your symptoms, that's OK.
>You know its a hypothesis. Its highly speculative. But it does fit all the facts. I only found out recently that EBV can affect metabolic physiology long term. In particular the reference I saw was about the metabolism of Omega 6's - which can be impaired in those who have had EBV. If it can affect Omega 6's, then what else can it affect?
Chronic viruses in general damage the cell membrane and therefore all the EFAs (esp Omega 3 I thought??) Which is why people are advised to take EFAs esp fish oils/flax.
Yes I totally agree, it is all very hypothetical, but you just have to put 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 etc etc together.
My dentist didn't use a rubber dam either as she'd removed several
Amalgams before and said she found they actually caused *more* problems, as mercury can get stuck behind the dam. However I did have an oxygen mask which is the most important thing with regards to the mercury vapour. Did you have an oxygen mask on during the treatment?? If not he obviously didn't have a clue what he was doing as that's very dangerous and putting you at risk! No wonder you became depressed that night! Did you think about it at the time and make the connection? Did he advise you about chelation? Did you go back and beat him up? ;)
Dreaming is a sign of detoxification which is why glutathione and selenium will make you dream. I dream excessively whenever I take anything like that or blood cleansers. You're liver was obviously working hard that night to get rid of the mercury. Interesting you don't normally dream....perhaps that's normal for you I don't know, though not remembering dreams is connected to vitamin B6 deficiency.
In Cutler's book he says as the level of intoxication waxes and wanes people go through periods when they don't dream or dream in black and white. Also "Dreaming involves chlinergic and dopaminergic mechanisms. Not dreaming indicates that choline precursors are needed."
Mercury disrupts these mechanisms.
I would just consider the following....
Are you feeling any improvement in your health taking the glutathione/selenium, or do you feel worse?
Have your minerals levels in general improved at all (in the hair test?).
Perhaps it might be worth you getting Andy's book. It's not very accessible....written like a Phd and very technical (he's got a Phd in chemistry) but tons of info in there so if it doesn't make you more paranoid it should be able to help!
