Chlorella, chelation, heavy metals - HAIR ANALYSIS
Afternoon all (at least it is here in OZ)
I've just been reading some posts below on Chlorella and Chelation and mercury poisoning (oh my!) etc. It was all very interesting and I can certainly understand our frustrations at all the contradictory evidence, much of it anecdotal, flying around as to how to battle various conditions we believe we are afflicted with or believe we're afflicted with. Don't get me wrong, I agree that all these nasties are out there and can wreak havoc with our bodies. Heck, that's why I'm here and it's the same reason you're here too I'm sure.
Sorry, rambling here. I'm on day 4 of 2 week detox (kind of like a Blessed Herbs thing, but available here in
oz. Hopefully effective) and right now I'm on a bit of a high.
My point(yes, there is one).... Hair analysis - just how accurate are the results in determining deficiencies etc of various minerals within our systems? Are the concentrations in strands of hair accurate indicators of concentrations in our bodies? Can they be contaminated, the results squewed by exposure to hair products for example? Or the environment? I looked into this a couple of years ago, even had one. And Google it, and there are some questionable opinions.
Just curious because it seems some people put considerable stock in the results as the yard stick with which they measure their health and progress.
Cheers,
Glen.
