A lot of people with candida respond very poorly to any kind of grass, I mean by eating grass grains, and on skin-prick tests. It feeds yeast/funguses. Have you thought of packing on weight by eating the spelt grains? I've recently been packing on some weight after discovering spelt bread (frozen loaf, waffles and bagels) at the health food store. It's kept frozen, so you have to toast it, but I'm really excited about it, because it's as good as any bread i've eaten and I don't feel sick after. I even found a spelt pretzel for a snack.
