Excuse me for butting in, but I think you are both right. The pH environment of the blood should be slightly alkaline, while the stomach must be acidic in order for us to be able to digest and assimilate our food. Our cells store acid wastes because of all the "acidic forming" foods and drugs that we have consumed in the past and and it is trapped. It is a process of eliminating them by consuming "alkaline forming" foods. Green drinks and lactic acid is alkaline forming in the tissues of the body, not the stomach.

No, Candida cannot live in an Alkaline body. Yes, we need enough acid in our stomach to be able to digest everything we take in so that it can be processed into that alkaline product for the cells of your body.
