Re: Family member of possible candida sufferer with question!

Johnny,guru of the Candida Board...;-]

We had a good,long-overdue talk last night. She was beyond pleased that I have taken the time to research on my own AND to actually ask her questions.
FINALLY I know what exactly she can and can not eat! It's easy enough for me to make a small, separate meal for her to eat at the holidays;no big deal. She has done quite a bit of research on her own and knows the smoking and Mountian Dew has got to go,but I understand that type of craving/addiction,so I just said "I know you know it's bad,but you'll cross that bridge when you're ready."
She can eat all the bland protien she wants [we love red meat in this family, thank God!] and certain kinds of veggies, but she has really stuck to her diet [with the odd chocolate fix here and there] all these years.I just never knew because we didn't talk about it.When you don't know things, you speculate and then you make judgements. Not wise! LOL!
I consider last night a healing of the overall family unit,in a sense...;-]...better late than never.
When she was diagnosed, the doctor suspected that her four friends in her gut had been there for at least a good decade or more. They were very well-seated and she said the treatment and die-off was the most horrible thing she has ever felt [glad I read up on it beforehand,so I knew what she was referring to]but right now and for the past few years [and for the rest of her life] she takes it day by day and takes her meds [Diflucan seems to work for her during flare-ups]and just plugs along like we all do best as she can.
I also made very sure to admit I had made incorrect assumptions all this time and that I was WRONG and now everything made sense to me.
Every disease had to be discovered at one point or another....brain tumors were "demonic possession" because of the behavior....and look at Tourette Syndrome. If it looks odd and goes against "the norm',well...there just must be something wrong in their head.
we're human,we make mistakes...and we are just about the dumbest animal on the Earth sometimes because of our foolishness and ignorance....:-]
