I don't crave sugar/carbs/fruit, but I do enjoy some sweet things. One thing I like is to make buckwheat pancakes and take a tablespoon of almond oil with about 4 drops of stevia mixed in it. Pour that over the pancakes. So good you'll want a second helping!
Also, after looking through the archives I could not find anything bad about carob powder for candida, so if it is allowed, you might want to try this recipe. It's a "Carob Breakfast Pudding", but can also be had as a hot dessert. Recipe from the "Feel Good Food Guide":
Carob Breakfast Pudding
3/4 cup Teff flour, roasted (can buy from Bob's Red Mill online)
1/2 cup Carob powder
pinch of Sea Salt
2 cups pure water or rice beverage. Add an additional 3 tablespoons if not using honey.
3 tablespoons honey -or- 1/4 liquid Stevia to taste -or- Agave Nectar (I use Stevia)
1/4 cup chopped Pecans or Walnuts (if you can tolerate them)
In a dry sauce pan toast teff until fragrant, about 2 minutes, stir constantly to prevent scorching. Add carob and salt, stir to mix. While stirring, add water until well blended and there are no lumps. Bring to a boil, turn down heat and simmer 5 minutes, continue to stir occasionally, to prevent burning. Once thick, remove from heat and add honey or stevia to taste and nuts all at once, stir to blend and serve at once.
