Re: diet problems, allergic to everything, stuck
Thing is, is that I've never had to be so concerned about my blood
Sugar before. Insulin had been working fine. In fact, I'm wary of supplements intended to control blood sugars because often they can cause problems. On the label of the tea I tried, it said that hypoglycemic patients shouldn't drink it. I don't think it's actually intended for diabetics. When I was a teenager, my blood sugars were pretty normal a lot of the time, very good actually. Then, after my infection got out of control in my early 20's (few years ago), I became brittle and had to go on an insulin pump. Going on a pump means that you can eat whatever you want, because you are on a constant supply of fast acting insulin just like as if you had a working pancreas. Now, of course, I can't eat whatever I want for obvious reasons. :) The pump has worked great unless I eat something that really upsets my infection.
So, I do know about balancing my blood sugar. I just don't think supplements are something diabetics should rely on.
Does coconut oil lower blood sugars? Immediately? Like if my blood
Sugar was 500 and I am not able to get it down, it might work?
