Yoga-relaxation-exercise & positive thinking

Most of the chemical reactions our body is in control of, so as to maintain a normal metabolism, are taken care of by the autonomous system: we do not need to think about breathing, we just spontaneously know what is the proper breathing rate. Our body organizes all these survival essential tasks without the help of the conscious brain. So, once in a while I give a treat to this other brain: the unconscious one. Annd I call this either, yoga, relaxation or positive thinking.

YOGA

Yoga - to me - is plain living on a NOW basis. I disconnect from the conscious and busy brain. I order to do so without wandering back to ‘what happened yesterday’ and what ‘I shall do tomorrow/next week’ (that is back to the conscious, busy brain) an easy way is to keep concentrating on your breathing.
The concentration is all about taking big breath and making sure the abdominal muscles go all the way down while breathing out. It is a simple relaxation to treat my unconscious.

Today I am preparing for a Liver Flush tonight, so I treated my liver as well: I kept concentrating on my breathing and literally picture some oxygen atoms coming in and being carried about to my liver.

Or I simply concentrated on my liver and sent all the energy of my body into this very specific spot.

There are a thousand ways to do yoga/meditation, standing, sitting on a chair (during a break in front of my computer)... I rarely use the proper Eastern position, yet I make sure my spine is stretched out like a thread was pulling it up to the ceiling/sky.

How to do it well is to keep it POSITIVE and on a NOW basis.

KEEP IT POSITIVE

There is so much whining involved with being sick, pain, drowsiness name it! So much negative thinking that one ought to compensate for that.

Sometimes I do yoga to take care of pain. How else could I do yoga when I feel bad. I just concentrate on the pain, delimitating it precisely and then I focus my energy on this very specific spot.

It is very likely that a negative thought will turn up, you just push it aside (not necessarily only during yoga sessions but all day through) and replace it by a positive one.

Thinking positive is part of my yoga practice, as well as exercise and relaxation.

NOW-YOGA

Carried away in our busy lifestyle we forget to grant ourselves a bit of time. To return to the NOW basis is good way to do so. To disconnect and be there for oneself, positive and available.

When doing yoga, you keep being carried away - negative thought- preoccupation, you push all of it aside for later examination and just let yourself be fully there. Practice makes perfect. And good breathing exercises (with abdominal muscle going all the way down---never right after a meal) will exercise your intestine.

To me yoga

RELAXATION

Before bedtime or when insomnia crawls in - or even in line waiting and becoming impatient about it (I HATE waiting.) I will relax. While standing or sitting will simply extend by spine all the way up. And cover all the parts of my body starting with the feet and going up to my head.

If it is difficult for you to unwind, make sure you start doing it while lying down. First contract your muscle and then let do and relax, feel the difference. Start with your feet and cover each muscle going up toward your head.

Give time to your unconscious. Let it unwind.

EXERCISE

Rather similarly exercise is a time to get rid of bad stress and unwind. I try to make it a positive time of the day and replace all negative thought by positive ones.

Keeping your body warm is a good way to fight candida. Hot baths, sauna sessions, wearing extra layers and… exercise. Furthermore, exercise trains your metabolism to become more efficient.

2 years ago, in agony, I could not possibly do exercise I HAD NO ENERGY. Yet, I would do stretches daily and it felt real good.

IN TWO WORDS

I like to think of it as training my unconscious. All day long, pain here and pain there, I train my unconscious in negative thinking. This hurts. I feel bad. I am ill. So all day long without meaning to do so I train my unconscious to feeling bad and being ill. I must stop at times during the day and practice POSITIVE THINKING SESSIONS, so as to train my body into being healthy.

DEALING WITH STRESS

Stress is a side effect of candida, due to vitamin B deficiency and due to the extra stress candida puts on our metabolism. To take time daily to unwind is a good habit to help getting back to a healthy lifestyle.
