Re: why is yogurt OK ?

Diet

Just a bit of correction on the diet.
No dairy, but yogurt (an important supplement by itself or as yogurt pills because these bacteria compete with candida)

No gluten (most grain contain gluten): No bread, no wheat even whole grain, but brown rice (rice cakes are fantastic for breakfast), oats and buckwheat are okay (buckwheat pancakes yummy and a good input of vitamin B)

No fruit - I myself make an exception for apples, because of the pectin they contain- I take low Sugar apples like Granny Smith one a day.

Vegetable juice is okay (people say that carrot and beet juice are too sweet I do not agree I drink plenty of them for their beneficial impact on the liver.

No vinegar but Aplle Cider vinegar (ACV)

No potatoes.

You should allow yourself an occasional cheat a week. But stricly observe the diet otherwise. Read Shelley on the topic (Top of this ppage Best of Shelley : "How to cheat", you might want to read her "Notes on Candida as well" all of these are fantastic post os specific aspects of candida )

Do you take antifungals?????

Die off will come when you start the treatment. The diet will merely ease the symptoms.
Treatment:
Antifungals
Diet
Probiotics
Cleanse your cleansing organs: liver, kidneys, intestine.

Low on energy means, your body is busy with detox and/or needs vitamin B you need a complex of B3 B6 And B12 minimally.

You also must take fish oil supplement and magnesium suplemnet daily.

Hope this helps
