Re: How can candida survive in the stomach?

> A doctor told me that candida can't live in the stomach because of the PH levels,

Firstly a couple of years ago they said *nothing* could live in the stomach because of PH levels. Then they discovered H pylori!!!

Secondly no-one is claiming that candida lives in the stomach. The doc is right - candida couldn't survive in that kind of acidity (which is one reason why we use things like vinegar to kill it in e.g. enemas).

Candida doesn't live in the stomach it lives in the colon - the large intestine, and to a lesser extent in the small intestine. From there it can punch holes in your gut and enter your bloodstream. Once in your blood it can travel to other parts of your body.

Rather than "arguing" with your doc, I would go to a new doctor if he doesn't understand candida.

JV.
