I speak from personal experience and certainly do not grant universal validity to my observations.
I allow cheating once a week, for a half tea spoon of Sugar in my fresh cottage cheese--non fermented cheese seems to be ok-- or a very small quantity of fruit juice--half a small glass.
The next day, I know I have fed the beasts because I have runny nose again, whiter tongue, thicker white saliva, and sneezes.
Obviously, they like Sugar and they grow on it.
Nevertheless, I have kept a small quantity of carbs in my diet, --only in the form of rice, no wheat--and I do not get these symptoms as a result. My nose stays clear, I have no sneezes. Since eating only proteins and veggies is complicated and costly for the proteins, plus I dont see myself eating salmon for breakfast, I have rice for breakfast or lunch. Besides, I never liked meat very much, and the diet is hard enough as it is without making it worse.
So I will keep eating my small portion of rice.I do not favor all out approaches to anything--killing a fly with a cannonball/I will die cured --anyhow. These approaches dont necessarily work best anyway.
