Re: Life happens

I think we can all agree that in the animal world there is no such thing as right and wrong. Think of lions, deer, elephants, pigs and squirrels: There is no murder. There is no adultry. There is no truth. There are no lies. There is no cheating. There is no definition of RIGHT and WRONG. (Kind of like what you're advocating)

As well, in the animal world there is no real happiness, no sadness, no love, no joy, no hope, no prayers, no beliefs, no worries, no guilt! Yet somehow, we humans have these things instinctively ingrained in us! We can't just walk up to someone and kill that person for no reason and not feel guilty. (And we certainly wouldn't EAT that person after we killed him!)

But you know what? I don't believe I'm a mere animal. I believe I was CREATED in the image of God with Wisdom, Love and Purpose. I BELIEVE I have a soul that was created at the moment of my conception. And, I believe there IS a reason we humans are here. You people might think you're just a bunch descendants of knuckle-dragging, tree-climbing monkeys, but I don't. If I was just a dumb animal I wouldn't be feeling any of these emotions that I just described. I would feel NO guilt if I raped or murdered someone. I would feel no love...nothing.

Animals know by instinct that we humans are different. They sense it. As well, we humans sense that animals are different. (well most of us do). Unlike animals I accomplish more in life than simply eating, drinking, reproducing and going to the bathroom.

I thank God every night I'm here to serve Him, the One who created me wonderfully, with love and purpose. Ghost of S
