Re: An idea of what God without Religion is

God is the infinite self, the underlying reality, is within and without. Religion assumes it is the path to God, with its rules and regulations and it's theologies. Yet it has been one of the greatest destructive forces in the history of mankind with wars, slavery being justified in it's name.
God without religion to me means the path of the ascetic, the way in is the way out. This involves techniques of energy regulation as practiced by Hebrew, Indian and Christian mystics in order to first find the God within for He cannot be found anywhere else.
I would recommend the book by Sankara Saranam entitled "God Without Religion" for those interested.
