Re: Acupuncture

YES!

I happen to have a close friend who is an acunpunturist and I get treatments about once a week. It has helped my issues of anxiety and low energy a lot! The TCM (traditional chinese medicine) approach to illness is pretty amazing. One of the things she has been working on is 'stagnant liver chi' which can lead to low energy. I don't know exactly what she does for anxiety, but there is a procedure called 'the 4 corners' I believe which always makes me feel great for days after and seems to raise my baseline in general.

I would recommend asking around as to find someone good. There are also sometimes opportunities to get worked on by interns for cheaper rates. I have done this too with success.

If/when you decide to give it a try, just relax and try to zone out. Once the needles are in, they often leave the room for 15 - 30 minutes and for me it seems that the more I get into a meditative mindset during this period, the more effective the treatment becomes. Just relax. It doesn't hurt.

Best of luck! :)

I also use a tincture called 'melissa' for anxiety and pure 'scullcap'.
It is amazing to me how well these things work! I can honestly say that 2 squirts of 'melissa' on an empty stomach with warm water feels very similar to a small dose of valium or xanax.. which I don't take anymore.

You may already know about herbal remedies, just thought I'd post it in case you haven't gone there yet.

Warmly,

Brian
