Re: day 3 crazy emotions

I applaud you for making such an effort for your health after having been overweight so long. Food is such a source of distraction and instant self gratification that I truly believe it can provide a comfort zone that you don't realize. Do some reading on the forum and take to heart the 'spiritual cleansing' that people associate with fasting. This is a great time to focus on you and what else is going on with you other then food and social eating events. The last time I was starting to feel out of control with my eating I think had much to do with my husband (Navy) being away for many months and me without close friends in a new place. The cleanse helps set me right but yeah without the distration, the beginning is odd when I had to face emotions that I was surprised to find I just wanted to push until later while I found a snack. How wierd that food should effect us so.

Anyway, I feel like I'm babbling, but I guess in short, the Master-Cleanse helps us redefine our relationship with food which is a very prevelant and valid and powerful thing. So yes, in doing so emotions, spiritual cleansing, etc. can all be a part of the experience. Good luck and good health to you.
