The risk is small but it is possible that it could provoke the need for emergency surgery. OTOH, surgery no doubt will be needed at some point anyway without doing the flush, although it can then be scheduled in advance of course and not done in an emergency mode.

The key things if you are going to do the flush, are to properly do the three day apple juice fast(fresh juice is best) and not to do the flush while any stones are already in a blocked state. (You will know this is the case, if you cannot tolerate any fats at all and you're pretty much constant pain.) Do *not* do the flush if this is the case. Try fasting on fresh apple juice and taking "Stone Free", sometimes these two things alone can help significantly.
