The SWF (Salt-Water-Flush) is an important step as it will flush out all the goo stirred from the day, the lax tea (all that leftover goo) and other residuals (plaque, etc). It's absolutely great for detoxing IMHO. Try it warm. Try it cold (enough warm/hot water to dissolve the salt then a few cubes of ice then water to = 32oz). Try it with a straw. Hold your nose. Make believe. Either way, try to do it for as many days as you can! Personally, I'd rather not do a lax any more than necessary (once a day is plenty) no matter how naturally based it is. You will likely "go" several times to eliminate the SWF (Salt-Water-Flush) -- my normal was about 4 times with no more "going" for the entire day (minus lax and enemas). There simply isn't much else to remove once your solids are gone. PS - the manual also prefers the SWF (Salt-Water-Flush) =)
FYI, if I were you, I'd get prepared to fight any potential headaches as you are used to coffee. Search for posts with "headache" or "migraine" for great remedies.
