I have broken a couple of MCs with apple juice because I wanted to prepare for a liver flush. It works just as well as orange juice. One thing I'd suggest is to start out with a diluted juice, maybe 50-50 with distilled water and gradually increase its strength. Do this the first day, then you can enjoy your veggie broth the next day. I am type O too, but did not feel the Blood Type Diet did a whole lot for me. Now I mainly use it as a guide for what might be the best choices, but do not follow it to the letter. The main thing that was right for me was no wheat, the fruits and veggies really don't seem to make a difference and I'm not a big meat eater.
