I suppose.... but it's not a food for people unless hard times.

There are kits I saw online to grow your own phytoplankton.

You can go to fish feed sites and choose from among many varieties of plankton to grow in the comfort of your own home.

I'm sure once you have your operation set up, you can drink a quart of it everyday. Yuck.
