Re: Misquoting Jesus in the Bible - Professor Bart D. Ehrman

Hi Refreshed : ), Long time no see and i wish you the very best : ).

My perspective on this is that most likely all non-religious people would believe the bible is flawed anyway and so this would be the default position of the unbeliever... and most who then later become a part of the mainstream religious system are usually very quick to believe what institutionalized religion tells them they have to believe which is that their bible is 100% God breathed, inerrant, infallible and the final authority.

Myself i just want the truth, not institutionalized religious propaganda.

If the bible is 50% God breathed (just as one possible hypothetical example) then i want to read it with the best discernment possible for that 50% that is truly inspired by Him... and i want as much as possible to correctly discern the 50% that is not of Him so that i am not deceived into following after the false parts which so deeply misrepresent Him.

What i do not place my faith and trust in is institutionalized religion or its popularized doctrinal opinion that its bible is 100% God breathed... which to me as one deeply sincere follower of the Living God is obviously and demonstrably a false teaching propagated systemically by a massive conglomeration of institutionalized false prophets and false teachers. I want to follow God 100%, not a book that institutionalized religion propagates as being 100% of God when it simply isn't.

The Muslims and other religions promote the very same lie, the lie that their book is the one that is 100% God breathed... or Angel breathed on behalf of God. As with institutionalized churchianity, it's just a hyped up sales pitch to promote their religion and to falsely lend more substantiation to the institutionalized religious system and its clergymen .

Also, as with sincerely desiring to align my heart with any and all parts of the bible that are actually true, i also want to align my heart with any parts of the op video and/or any other sources that are true. If what this speaker is saying is true or even partially true, then i want to embrace these true parts. Since truth belongs to God whatever the source, why would any true follower of God be adverse to it or not want to know about it?

Blessings to all.
