Re: Acute Pancreatitis!!

Hi
Due to Gallstones I had several attacks of acute pancreatitis.
My recommendations for acute pancreatitis:
Pain medication usually can not be avoided in the beginning, but give a try to acupuncture, acupressure, reflexology.
I am lucky that I can inject myself Voltaren/Diclofenac, when it is necessary, so during the last attacks I was able to avoid a hospital stay. But this is only possible in very mild attacks, otherwise the pain is too cruciating and demands opiate treatment.

If the attack is not so serious then total fast for one day, only water and tea without Sugar on the next day and on the third day starting with diluted fresh squeezed carot and apple juice and the next day vegetable soup .....

In more serious cases You will not be able to avoid a hospital stay which means automatically intravenous infusion for liquid substitution.
I dislike the Sugar in the infusionsolutions, but it is difficult to avoid it.

Antibiotics : are many time standard treatment and make it more difficult for the body to recover. As long as there are no signs of infection: fever and elevation of the white blood cells you can insist on not getting the Antibiotics .
(You risk being thought of as totally nuts, but Your health is worse it...)

When the attack is over but there is a risk for further attacks:
Improve your health with:
chinese medicine or acupressure which you can do to yourself
running/swimming/cycling/...
yoga/pilates/...
emotional relese techniques (as taught at the humaniversity in holland)
sugarfree diet
laughter (try laughteryoga/yogalaughter)

Try to find out what in your life situation made your body deceide that it is best for you to get pancreatitis now and try to find a solution for the offending reasons.

He happy
