Re: who is the only begotten son of god?

there is no trinity. there is only the father and the son. there is no satan devil thingy either. there is the father. there is the son. deny that and you deny the truth.

there is no other but the father.

Isaiah 45:6-8 Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)

6
that they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west,
that there is none beside me.
I am the Lord, and there is none else.
7
I form the light, and create darkness:
I make peace, and create evil:
I the Lord do all these things.
8
Drop down, ye heavens, from above,
and let the skies pour down righteousness:
let the earth open, and let them bring forth salvation,
and let righteousness spring up together;
I the Lord have created it.

so who tempted jesus in the wilderness, you might ask? satan is the one who opposes. who opposes god?

Romans 8:8
So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

1 Corinthians 15:50
Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

Galatians 4:14
And my temptation which was in my flesh ye despised not, nor rejected; but received me as an angel of God, even as Christ Jesus.

it was jesus own flesh which tempted him. his brother puts it this way:

James 1:12-14 Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)

12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. 13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: 14 but every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

and jesus was every bit a man tempted as we do to ourselves:

Hebrews 4:15
For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
