The picture is toxocara which is a nematode, they typically clump in groups so when they come out, people report them looking like pasta. I am not sure if this would be the only one with an appendage but it would be safe to say that the correlation would be nematodes, keep in mind that there are thousands of varieties of nematodes. On the bright side, a nematode is a nematode meaning they should respond in the like manner to treatments.
