Re: Pope Points the Way to False Enlightenment

thank you.

"There is no point in me defending organized religion. I can't. There is just too much to come back and slap me in the face about it all. But we..."

you got the religion part right but youre still stuck on this "we" business. there is no "we" when it comes to our standing with the lord. read the bible enough times and youll eventually get it.

Matthew 10:37-39 Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)

37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. 38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. 39 He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.

if your relationship with jesus doesnt include your immediate family then it certainly doesnt include total strangers. now granted, that doesnt mean thy are not included, but speak for yourself. i dont know of an assembly (thats what these are, not a church like the bible uses the word church like the body of christ. the body of christ is scattered to the four winds) that carries its own weight and then some or is teaching the truth. people that follow men are blind.

"where people stay on the same page most of the time."

that may be comforting but it just means they are dead. they are not growing. they are lukewarm. if something was actually happening there, thats what you would be sharing here. sharing things like i share.

"like this forum which stays chaotic."

the chaos is on purpose. you have been o0ne of the ones helping to create it. but mainly the serpentine vekky, loquat and rainy. and you know they ahave all posted horsecrap and dumped stupid videos and held unending vacuous conversations here. i dont think any two of us would belong to the same group.

"the very thing that makes this forum irritating is the very thing that also allows me to dig deeper on some subjects that I don't always get a chance to tear apart and look at in discussion with others. So I consider it something I should do to learn to be able to live in the world, although not be of it."

thats some pretty twisty thinking there. you know the lord is in control of everything, right? i havent seen anyone bring anything of any worth to the table here. n0o practical godly living info, just fantasies about trying to make scripture predict the future. very wrongheaded, in my book. not what the bible is about. people have made the bible about that, but its not. not earth future. your future, yes. mine, yes. but then you cant deny that is in our hands to some extent.

"Otherwise I would never go out into the world and just stay in my safe little cave. It's starting to be much like the time Lot and his family lived and I can't even imagine what Noah's time must have been like. You are no different than me. You are searching for ways to work around all of it. We just don't agree with what we are seeing, or how to deal with it."

the only thing in there i can agree with is that we are not much different. we are not.

"As far as whether anyone is or is not biblical on the forum, there will always be debate up until Jesus returns."

thats a bit dramatic. the bible must agree with itself and the reality our five senses have been built to give us a visual of the reality in the word of god. its all god, all the way down. so you can think whatever your peer group tells you to or you can believe gods word. i dont fight gods word. i cooperate with gods word. i conspire with gods word, to say and do his good will.

think your little group might try doing this?

Deuteronomy 6:6-7 Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)

6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: 7 and thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.

its the biblegateway verse of the day.

unbelief vs belief: how do you tell the difference?

"At one time you made it sound like Jesus is not returning because you believed He is already here. I agree He is here by the Holy Spirit, but He is also sitting on the right hand of the Father. Have you changed your mind on that?"

made it sound like? what kind of sound was that? like a trumpet? or a metal guitar? a nuclear explosion?

there are many levels of the bible understanding. on some levels i am quite mature and have a good understanding and on others i am an infant still in need of milk. the ones i am ignorant of, like an infant, i just accept what the bible says and dont need to shoehorn it into some interpretation that i prefer. i prefer to know the truth and will wait for it. the truth will match scripture. all scripture, not just part.
