Re: Next, on the Oprah Winfrey Show
Nobody can say, for certain, "what happens" when our soul leaves our bodies. In Christianity, the general belief is that the souls bask in the glory of God. Some believe the literal descriptions of Heaven being an actual place where everything is perfect. For myself, I believe that my energy will combine with all of the other energies that went before me, and welcome the ones that come after me as a part of God's infinite glory.
When in doubt, I take a gander at photos taken with the Hubble telescope, particularly those of nebulae. Nebulae are so vast that I, as a human being, cannot even begin to process their sizes. They are the remnants of stars that died, and nurseries for stars to be born. Everything has its cycle, including stars. To see these things in their glory and imagine the songs of these objects leaves no doubt that God exists. Nothing that takes my breath away like that is there without purpose. This goes for a hummingbird, the laughter of a child, the warmth of a fire, and everything else that is good in this earthly world.
