No this is not normal sounds like bacteria has damaged the thalamus in your brain which is responsible for your sleep pattern I had the same issue with taking mirtazapine I kept having to increase the dosage and after a while it wouldn't work for my sleep anymore. I started taking black seed oil and that helped me sleep great I ran out of it so I missed taking it for 2 or 3 days and now I'm back on it again and it's not working as well as it was previously. I'm having the same exact issues and I have systemic whipples disease. It causes autonomic nervous system dysfunction and hypothalamic dysfunction too.
