Re: Dry mouth at night. Poor sleep.
I agree with Fonty on this. I broke my fast more than halfway on the 13th day. I still had a lot of mucus- especially at work (fortunately I work outside).
I did keep filtered water at my bedside table all night for the last several days to help with this- and I never lost sleep otherwise (probably because I'm working hard at the moment.
I also noticed that I really retained a lot of water during the last few days.
There is a lot still going on with my body, but I chose to end the fast before the holiday- not out of hunger.
My problem now is that food tastes gross to me. Everything I loved is now way too salty (ironically, not soup), of way too sweet- even milk (I can actually taste the milk sugars it's like someone put
Sugar in my coffee when I take only cream). Food usually tastes saltier or sweeter/richer after ending a total water fast, but not to the point that it is inedible. I still can only manage to get water down, coffee (or a 1/4 glass French muscato), but that's it. I'm going to try brother for lunch today (I've never been much for eating before noon). Hopefully by dinner I'll try that hot and sour soup in the fridge- no salt or msg added.
