I lost 20 lbs
I was pretty strict and did not use much maple syrup (diabetic)
and I did not drink a lot of the lemonade (about 3 or 4) during the day.
I was most interested in keeping my sugars down and not having to use the insulin
I will be doing it much the same way this time and add more exercise (walking, mostly) and see how this impacts my weight.
This is mainly a lifestyle change for me. It shows I have self control and can enjoy food without it dominating my life. My children are seeing it as well and are beginning to understand the need for balance, etc., to lose and maintain weight loss. However, losing fast (or a lot) is important when you have a lot to lose.
I keep a chart of my loss and I weigh every three days; and I record it whether I am up or down and make comments along the way to determine what dictated the loss or gain.
