So by implication at least, I'm just one step away from denying Jesus' literal return, coz there's nothing to stop me waving my magic Finalist wand, and without so much as an abracadabra make it disappear in an allegorical puff of smoke. Must be quite an achievement then, that I've managed to hold onto my belief in a literal return for some 45 years. Even stranger is the fact that I feel neither the slightest need nor compulsion to wave that magic wand. No, sorry refreshed, but that sounds very much like a straw man argument to me.
